The Norman Gallery , in Monksgrange an 18th century house set in the heart the Irish Countryside at the foot of the Blackstairs Mountains and has a series of exhibitions throughout the year The area is leafy, verdant and well off the beaten track. If made part of a picnic to the Blackstairs Mountains it could be a very special day indeed. The family at Monsgrange were closely associated with the Arts and Crafts Movement in England and for a time in the 1930s manufactured furniture there. Some examples of this furniture are on display in the gallery.

Newtownbarry Galley in Newtownbarry House just outside Bunclody has several exhibitions during the year in its 19th century gallery. The house is set in extensive gardens with wide views to Mount Leinster. A visit can be made part of a trip to Mount Leinster or the old village of Shelleigh where Huntington Castle is open to the public. The Chantry Restaurant closeby in Bunclody where the very pleasant gardens run down to the Slaney River is open for lunch and dinner.

Wexford Art Centre just off the Bullring at the centre of Wexford has a series of exhibitions by mainly local artists throughout the year as has the Pigyard Gallery in North Main Street.

Green Acres in Selskar in Wexford is an interesting mix of Art Gallery and Wine Shop run by the owner who is passionate about both wine and art and his excellent taste in both makes for an interesting visit.www.greenacres.ie

Image Art Gallery in Ballinlow Kilmuckridge which is run by local artist Claire Kavanagh has a permanent exhibition of her own work and that of other local artists. It is a pleasant 30 minute drive from Morriscastle.
Eileen Grey a renowned architect and designer was born in Brownswood in Enniscorthy. She was a contemporary of Corbusier and he invited her to exbit with him. She designed several houses in France which have now become architectural landmarks. The National Museum at Griffith Barracks in Dublin has a permanent exhibition of some of her furniture and lacquer work.
